A riveting comedy drama delving into the relationship between two sisters, Bridget and Frances, who meet for the first time after their Mother’s death. Eternally at odds, they bicker as only sisters can over everything from the wine to the will!

Enter a world full of visual surprises, physical comedy and strange magical experiments that teeter between brilliance and disaster.

Drexel, an idealist inventor and his quietly brilliant servant, Pipe, are trying to invent something extraordinary – from absolutely nothing. Will their experiments create disaster or a fantastic breakthrough?

Be whisked into the imaginative world of The Maker, with its eccentric physical comedy and visual surprises. The unexpected, the magical and the strange await for children and their grown-ups. 

From the team that created the world-touring hit show A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings and Barabbas Theatre Company co-founder Raymond Keane, comes this brilliantly playful new show inspired by Samuel Beckett, Jorge Luis Borges and Buster Keaton.

Created by Dan Colley, with Manus Halligan and Raymond Keane. Co-produced with the Riverbank Arts Centre and Mermaid Arts Centre. Originally funded by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon. International touring supported by Culture Ireland. Created as part of Dan Colley’s residency at Riverbank Arts Centre supported by Kildare County Council and The Arts Council.

Manus Halligan is on his way to Stockholm to perform A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings at the Pop Up Puppets International Festival in Stockholm. On his return he will go straight into rehearsals for Decadent Theatre’s production of Molly Sweeney as part of the Dublin International Theatre Festival 1st – 6th October at the Pavilion Theatre.

Manus Halligan is on his way to Edinburgh to reprise his role in the multi award winning show Lost Lear.

A moving and darkly comic remix of Shakespeare’s play told from the point of view of Joy, a person with dementia who is living in an old memory of rehearsing King Lear. Joy’s delicately maintained reality is upended by the arrival of her estranged son who, being cast as Cordelia must find a way to speak his piece from within the limited role he’s given. Using puppetry, projection and live video effects, the audience are landed in Joy’s world as layers of her past and present, fiction and reality, overlap and distort. A thought-provoking meditation on theatre.
