Mella Carron is a Dublin based actress and singer. Mella began her career at age four, where she trained at The Independent Theatre Workshop, in singing, dancing and acting.
Mella made her first debut on stage at the age of six in the production of ‘Annie’ in the role of ‘Molly’, which ran for three months in The Tivoli Theatre.
From there, Mella performed in many musical theatre productions in The National Concert Hall in leading roles, such as ‘Gretl’ in The Sound of Music, and ‘Annie’ in the musical Annie.
Mella soon found her love for television and film and was cast in several productions for RTE as well as Martina Cole’s adaptation of ‘The Take’ where she worked with Tom Hardy, in ‘Camelot’ working alongside Jamie Campbell Bower and in ‘Harry Wild’ working with Jane Seymore. Mella was recently cast in the new television series ‘Borderline’ where she had the opportunity to work once more with director Robert Quinn.
Some of her main feature film credits include ‘What Richard Did’, ‘Brooklyn’ working opposite Saoirse Ronan and ‘The Adventurer’ where she was cast as the leading lady working alongside Sam Neill, Michael Sheen and Lena Heady.
Mella is also a singer songwriter and performs her own original music in her band CARRON. Mella is trained professionally in Musical Theatre and Classical Singing, as well as a trained violinist and pianist.
